What appears to be happening is that for some queries, the client attempts to reach out to public DNS servers, but An圜onnect is configured to not allow that, so the request fails. After upgrading, /etc/nf isn't updated with our DNS servers, and scutil -dns is showing different resolvers than before the upgrade. All of our DNS queries are being sent across the VPN so we can control user experience. If it matters, here's the problem I'm having after upgrading to a newer client. I don't mind waiting if this is typical for Cisco, but we would like to update the software and the problems that I'm having with DNS would potentially cause issues.
Has anyone else seen this problem with An圜onnect on the Mac?.I've posted asking for updates but I've gotten silence. When I look online, I had seen almost daily updates until. It's been 25 days now, and I really haven't gotten a response from the tech. So, knowing that, and that we have support with Cisco, I opened a case with them on at 16:31:47. Upon testing a newer version (6) our DNS settings are not being applied to the Mac in the same way. We have run into some issues with this version of An圜onnect and would like to upgrade.
For our Mac clients, we are currently running An圜onnect 9. At work, we have 2 ASA5515 devices for our two sites. I'm more of a Cloud Ops / SysAdmin, but other duties as needed, etc. I'm sure that I'm missing stuff, but I'm good at poking around.
